A difficult site to find. Just after the village Dayazlar as the road rises on the Kas Kale road to the brow of a hill there is a forestry road leading up towards the site. It is heavily overgrown and extremely difficult to penetrate. There is a house at the end of this track but I got the impression that I was unwelcome!

The site is or would have been famous for it’s sculptures but they were removed to Vienna and I hope to add some images of these items in due course. In particular the Heroum dated to the second quarter of the fourth century B.C.

What sarcophagi there are all illustrate the various designs to be found in Lycia. Some stone walls survive but again very difficult to trace with any certainty.

An example of the elusive sarcophagi hidden in the dense undergrowth!
