Ucagiz is an attractive village which encompasses the sites of Teimiousa and Simena. It is a frequent stopping point for pleasure boats including Gulets. There a numerous cafes and shops as well as a market.

There are numerous tombs within the village and on the hillside as well as standing in the water!

There is a police station near the jetty and is used to make certain that there is no illegal excavating nearby, especially under water, the sunken city of Simena. Overlooking the village is a castle which is well worth the climb!
